Cirya News Network ("Cirya", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. - Account information (name, email, password, profile photo) when you sign in or apply for a role.
- Newsletter sign-ups (email address, optional preferences).
- Submissions such as job applications, news tips, comments, or contact-form messages.

- Device & browser data (IP address, user-agent, screen size, language).
- Usage data (pages viewed, time on page, referring URL, scroll depth, clicks).
- Cookies and similar identifiers (see Section 4).
Information from third parties
If you sign in via a third-party service (such as Google), we receive your name, email, and profile photo from that service in accordance with the permissions you grant.

- Personalise content (such as recommended stories) based on your activity;

5. Advertising & analytics partners
We partner with the following services. Each operates under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read:
- Google AdSense / Ad Manager — for displaying advertising. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or other sites. You can opt out at google.com/settings/ads.
- Google Reader Revenue Manager — for newsletter sign-ups and reader-engagement features.
- Supabase — our hosted database and authentication provider.
- Vercel — our website hosting and analytics provider.
- YouTube, Twitch, Discord — for embedded video, live streaming, and community features.
6. When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics, advertising) acting on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect your information;
- When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cirya, our users, or the public;
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case continued protection of your information will be required of any successor.
7. How long we keep information
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Aggregated, anonymised data may be retained indefinitely.
8. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (in particular under the EU/UK GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of your information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent);
- Receive a portable copy of your information;
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

You can unsubscribe from newsletters at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email.
9. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards (encryption in transit via HTTPS, hashed passwords, restricted access to production data, audit logging) to protect your personal information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe we have, please contact privacy@cirya.co and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
Cirya operates globally and may transfer your information to, and process it in, countries other than your own. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information when it is transferred internationally.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page or by email where appropriate.
